Over the years, a creative unit called Illusion Of Safety, controlled by humanoid Dan Burke, has recorded a lot of material, most of which the general public would find disgusting. In general, neither while Illusion Of Safety was a creative association, nor when he became Burke's solo personal brainchild, he did not create something simple and immediately understandable to everyone. IOS was more likely not engaged in music, but constructing something similar to it with the help of samples and sounds that came to hand, which makes traditional compositions sound strange and sometimes even unexpected. All albums of the project are somewhat different from each other, which allows us to single out the starting points for immersion in creativity, the role of which the disc "Bad Karma" is quite suitable. It is certainly not "easy listening", and the compositions presented on it are stuffed with strange structures and noises, but, meanwhile, there are no extreme frequencies or ultrasonic chords (well, in fact, there were some but there are very few of them), which certainly simplifies the problem of having fun. The album is varied as a whole and monotonous in each case; the album generates a kind of indistinct atmosphere of mania and fear; the album is interesting and beautiful in its own way - all this suggests that the work turned out to be extraordinary and requires attention. In general, a very interesting release for both a beginner and a professional experimental industrial music lover.

DB, Mark Klein, and Jim O"Rourke improvised recording on The False Mirror which was previously released as limited edition 7" record on A State of Flux in 1993. Tracks 10-13 are reworking of the cassette IN 70 Countries.
